The Premier League will be back this weekend. The summer has been one of sport, however it is good to have the real competitive and club stuff back. Here are a selection of goals scored on the leagues opening weekend.

3. What a hit by Yeboah versus Liverpool!
4. Stanic vs West Ham in a 4-2 win, a great start to the new season for Charity Shield winners Chelsea.
5. Pedersen on the volley versus Fulham

It wasn't pretty but the very first goal of the Premier League was scored by Brian Deene of Sheffield United. The Premier League has been dominated by Manchester United, interestingly their first game of the Premier League era ended in defeat. However, they did of course finish the season title winners.
